For example, PPS of Pitt County, NC conducts school tours for parents with children entering kindergarten all the way up through high school. PPS of Hawaii, noting that many families were withdrawing their children from public school at the middle school level, began a program called Middle School Transition Night; families can visit the school and learn about it from teachers and principals and students.
